September 23 10:46am Tulare County: yokohl valley road 50 miles of squiggly lines. I woke up this morning, looked at the map, and said to myself, "I'll take the squiggly line that's barely a road." So I did.  Tulare County: yokohl valley road My water bottle collapsed upon itself from the change in air pressure. I'm wondering if people from Denver look slimmer when they go to sea level. |
September 23 2:43pm  Highway 152: los banos Aptly named city of Los Banos smells like poo. Stinky stinky poo. Gilroy smells like garlic. I do not think I want to live in a city that smells like poo or garlic. |

 Interstate 5: shasta lake High winds. Bad gas mileage. respite from headwinds. Realized that I plugged in cooler backwards in the darkness. So my cooler heated instead of cooled. DOH! Those markings need to be glow in the dark. |

September 24 11:17am | Ashland: safeway Stopped by Ashland Oregon to do a bit of exploring. 80% Outdoor adventure stores. Subaru's and VW campers. Kayaks, bicycles everywhere. I love the 50's era supermarket. So retro it's hip again. |

| Crater Lake National Park: mazama village campground Elevation 6004 ft. Smells like pine trees. Very well organized. Decent bathrooms. Damn cold. The ranger let me though for free. I'd like to think it's because she thought I was cute. |
